Service terms and booking information

Updated 26 September 2026 · Shiftify Packers and Movers

Shiftify accepts moving enquiries through this website and its published contact channels. Availability, price and the services for a particular move are confirmed in the written quotation and booking documents. Read those documents before accepting the service or paying.

Enquiries and booking confirmation

Submitting a form requests contact about a move; it does not reserve a crew or vehicle. Confirm the inventory, addresses, date, service scope, price and booking acceptance with the team. Any payment requirements, including an advance or stage payment, must be stated in your quote.

The agreed moving scope

The scope should identify packing, handling, transport and delivery work, together with exclusions and relevant access assumptions. Ask specifically about furniture dismantling, reassembly, unpacking, technical installation and special goods. A general service description does not include every possible task.

If the inventory, address, date or access changes, ask for the revised scope and any price effect in writing before the additional work is authorised.

Access and customer preparation

Provide accurate addresses and information about floors, lifts, stairs, loading access and building instructions. Arrange the permissions that only an occupier or owner can obtain, and agree who supplies any vehicle or crew details. Have an authorised person available at collection and delivery.

Identify hazardous, restricted, unusually heavy or high-value goods before booking. Do not pack items that have not been accepted for transport. Keep valuables, essential documents, medicines and personal items needed during transit with you where practical.

Schedule and delivery

Ask the quote to distinguish the collection appointment, expected delivery window and any specific contractual commitment. Weather, roads, transport arrangements and building access can affect the schedule. Confirm the contact for updates and the procedure if the destination cannot receive the goods.

Responsibility and insurance

Packing or transport does not automatically include insurance. Any applicable contractual responsibility, available cover, exclusions and claim process must be explained in the booking or policy documents. This website does not impose a blanket liability cap or a universal claim deadline.

At delivery, check the inventory and visible condition, record any exception and contact the team promptly. Keep relevant photos, packaging and documents. See claims and insurance for the records to prepare.

Cancellations, payment queries and complaints

Use the process described in cancellation and refund information, read with your accepted booking terms. Raise concerns through our contact channels and include the quote reference so the team can locate the move.

Nothing in these website terms excludes rights or obligations that cannot be excluded under applicable law. If website wording and your quote leave a material point unclear, obtain clarification before booking.
